A garage floor that dips or settles where it meets the driveway apron creates a visible lip, a trip hazard, and a gap that lets water, leaves, and pests enter the garage. The apron area is especially vulnerable because it sits on fill soil that compacts over time, receives repeated heavy vehicle loads, and endures more freeze-thaw cycles than the protected interior slab.
