A smart video doorbell that repeatedly fails to connect to WiFi — dropping offline within minutes of setup, showing a spinning status light, or appearing as 'offline' in the companion app — is one of the most common smart-home frustrations. The root cause is almost always a weak WiFi signal at the front door, which is typically the farthest point from the router and separated by exterior walls, brick, stucco, or metal door frames that attenuate the 2.4 GHz signal.
